chile quinta escondida spring irises

This is a very busy time of year (Sept-Nov), when not only the flowers burst into bloom, but also the weeds. Flowerbeds need clearing constantly, the small kitchen garden gets planted with whatever I feel like trying to grow – mostly tomatoes – and then there’s the fire pit, pool and BBQ area to maintain… but it is all good fun!

The purple and white whisteria never fails to impress, in late September, but there are many many other delights too.
